CS371p Spring 2021 Week 13: Albert C. Trevino

What did you do this past week?

This past week I was able to catch up on all the work I’ve had, and I am preparing for finals and this semester to come to a close.

What’s in your way?

A bit of ‘senioritis’ is kicking in, although possibly a bit early because I still have one semester left. I need to keep working and keep my head down. I’m so close to being done and I need my work to not be affected.

What will you do next week?

More studying will definitely be done as well as finishing the final two projects for this semester. I can’t wait to be done, and this summer will prove to be a great mental break.

If you read it, what did you think of the What Happens to Us Does Not Happen to Most of You?

These accounts from women always upset me. I will never understand how men can think the way they do and proceed to believe that it’s okay. It will never be okay. I cannot imagine how these women, and any woman that has experienced something similar, feel. There needs to be change.

What was your experience of Life and inheritance?

I am understand Life a bit easier than some of the previous projects, but I have always struggled with the idea of inheritance. I think the past few lectures have really helped me understand as well as the exercise.

What made you happy this week?

I was able to spend the weekend at my parents house, as well as help them move. Even though I still was doing homework, it was a nice change of environment and I’m always grateful for the time I get to spend with my parents.

What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?

My pick-of-the-week is to check out Colab by Google, it is a good way to work on jupyter notebook, python projects with other people pretty easily. I would only use the jupyter software for some python projects, but using Colab made it so easy to collaborate with others, which I suppose is why it’s named that!
